Introduction to the application of honeycomb geocells

Honeycomb geocell is a three-dimensional mesh compartment structure formed by strong welding or riveting of high-strength HDPE or PP copolymer, which is a special geosynthetic material. It can be shrunk and stacked, tensioned and filled with soil, stone or concrete material to form a structural body with strong lateral restriction and stiffness. It is commonly used for stabilizing highways, railroad foundations, embankments and shallow water channels.

  Its main feature is to restrain the soil body in three dimensions from plane and vertical height. The honeycomb restraint system has certain tension and ductility, which can make the roadbed and honeycomb restraint system form a continuous flexible overall structure, transfer and spread the traffic load and the upper part of the self-weight load of the soil to a larger area, thus reducing the pressure on the lower part of the soil, reducing the total settlement, and changing the settlement at the junction into the contact gradual settlement.

  A reasonable arrangement of honeycomb restraint system in the soil body can make the vertical stress and horizontal stress of the soil body significantly reduced, and the friction between soil particles significantly increased, which can improve the bearing capacity of the soil body to a large extent.

The reason why the honeycomb restraint system can act on the uneven settlement treatment of the transition section is that it makes use of the continuity of the grid deformation and its high strength, high elasticity and large deformation characteristics. Under the action of repeated loading, no accumulation of deformation will occur.

1、 Load support system

Load support systems laterally restrain selected fillers and provide economical solutions to unstable surfaces or foundation problems in three key areas: load distribution systems on soft soils; foundation stabilization on high and medium grade pavement surfaces; and surface stabilization on unhardened pavement surfaces.

Slope stabilization and protection system isolates, strengthens and binds the soil and fill above the slope, thus controlling the downward movement and sliding of the slope caused by hydraulic force and gravity.

 

3、 Soil blocking and consolidation system

The system, when stacked in layers, creates an economical retaining wall that meets all structural requirements specific to the project. The system is structurally flexible and provides aesthetic enjoyment through a fully vegetated wall surface. The horizontal terrace created by the outer layer of exposed fill allows vegetation to flourish. The system captures rainwater and controls groundwater evaporation, creating a more natural environment for the vegetation.

 

4 、River Protection System

The honeycomb restraint system provides a variety of economical, flexible protection methods for open stream channels and hydraulic facilities. The system provides stability and protection for stream channels exposed to flow ranges from low to high intermittent or continuous flow erosion.

 

5 、Sponge city construction system
