    Product Introduction

    HDPE geomembrane, known as "high density polyethylene film", has excellent resistance to environmental stress cracking, low temperature, aging and corrosion resistance, as well as a wide temperature range (-70 to +80) and a long service life (100 years). Geomembrane is a continuous film-like sheet produced from virgin resin and is a waterproof barrier type material with polymer as the basic raw material. It contains polyethylene, carbon black .

    Construction points

    Laying of HDPE Geomembranes

    1. HDPE geomembrane should be laid by the civil engineering corresponding qualified acceptance certificate documents before laying.

    2. Before cutting the HDPE membrane, its relevant dimensions should be accurately measured and then cut according to the actual cut, which should be numbered piece by piece and recorded in detail on a special form.

    3. HDPE geomembranes should be laid with the minimum number of welded seams to ensure quality and to save as much raw material as possible. It is also easy to ensure quality.

    4. The lap width of the seam between the membrane and the membrane is normally not less than 10cm, usually so that the seam is aligned parallel to the maximum slope, i.e. in the direction of the slope.

    5. usually in corners and deformed sections, the length of the joint should be kept as short as possible. Except for special requirements, no welds should be provided within 1.5m of the top slope or stress concentration area on slopes with a gradient greater than 1:6.

    6. HDPE geomembranes should be laid in such a way as to avoid artificial folds and should be stretched as tightly as possible and laid flat when the temperature is low.

    7. After the HDPE geomembrane is laid, walking on the membrane surface and moving tools should be minimized. Any objects that can cause harm to the HDPE membrane should not be placed on the membrane or carried on the membrane to avoid accidental damage to the membrane.

     

    Geomembrane welding precautions

    (1) Geomembrane seam processing is a key procedure in construction, directly affecting the operational life of the project, according to quality testing, the use of heat welding methods is ideal. (Also available with special glue) Heat welding method is PE geomembrane connected surface heating treatment, so that the surface melted, and then through the pressure to make the fusion into one.

    (2) Geomembranes are best laid in a certain direction, with both sides of the geomembrane reserved for a certain PE film and PET non-adhesive layer, and each unit of geomembrane should be adjusted to facilitate the welding of two units of geomembranes when laid.

    (3) After the geomembrane is laid, it should be pressed with sand bags to prevent wind movement, and the edge joints are required not to have dirt, moisture, dust, etc.

    (4) Before welding, adjust the two edges of the PE single film at the seam so that it laps a certain wide band and is flat and wrinkle-free.

    (5) When welding, it is best to weld with technicians who have some experience, and weld using special welding machines for welding. To adjust the temperature and speed, (can also be glued together).
