Product Description
Geocell is a threedimensional mesh structure formed by highstrength HDPE (highdensity polyethylene) broadband, which is strongly welded. It is stretchable, can be folded up when transported, and open and filled with soil, stone or concrete materials when used, constituting a structure with strong lateral restriction and large stiffness. This unique structure has good mechanical properties, chemical stability and aging resistance, and can adapt to a variety of complex engineering environments. In the slope protection project, geocell can effectively fix the soil on the slope, prevent soil erosion and enhance the stability of the slope, which is a kind of economical, environmentally friendly and efficient slope protection material.

Slope protection mechanism
(A) Limit soil movement on the slope:
The threedimensional mesh structure formed after opening the geocell plays a strong lateral limiting effect on the soil or other materials filled in the cell. When the slope surface is subject to rain erosion, wind erosion or other external forces, the filling material inside the chamber is fixed in place, and is not easy to slide and lose, thus effectively preventing the slope surface soil movement and collapse.
(B) Dispersing slope load:
In the slope protection project, the slope surface may be subjected to pressure from the soil above, vehicle load or other external forces. Geocells can disperse these concentrated loads evenly over a larger area, reducing the local stress concentration on the slope surface and reducing the possibility of damage to the slope surface.
(C) Increase slope friction:
There is a certain friction between the geocell and the soil on the slope, while the filling material inside the cell also interacts with the cell wall, further increasing the friction on the slope. This friction can resist the downward force of the slope soil and improve the stability of the slope.
(D) Promote the growth of vegetation:
Geocells provide a good environment for vegetation growth. The soil inside the chamber can maintain a certain amount of moisture and nutrients, which is conducive to the germination and growth of plant seeds. The root system of the vegetation can go deep into the soil of the slope to further strengthen the slope, and at the same time, the vegetation can also play the role of beautifying the environment and reducing soil erosion.
Construction
1.Slope preparation: clean up the slope, remove debris and loose soil, and make sure the slope is level.
2. Laying geocells: Expand and fix the geocells on the slope surface, use anchors or Ushaped nails to fix them, and make sure that the cells are close to the slope surface.
3. Soil Filling: Fill the geocells with suitable soil, making sure that they are filled evenly and avoiding voids.
4. Vegetation planting: After filling the soil, plant suitable vegetation, such as grass, shrubs, etc., to enhance the ecological stability of the slope.
5. Maintenance and management: Regularly check the stability of the slope and the growth of vegetation, and carry out necessary maintenance and management.
