Features of geotube

- High-strength geotextile: made of high-strength polypropylene or polyester fiber, with excellent tensile strength, tear strength and abrasion resistance.

- Seawater corrosion resistance: can be used in seawater for a long time, not easy to corrode.

- Anti-UV aging: It has good anti-UV performance and prolongs the service life.

- Good water permeability: Ensure the drainage inside the bag and prevent the internal pressure from being too high.

- Shoreline berms: to prevent wave erosion and protect coastal infrastructure (roads, buildings). Breakwaters and artificial islands: to build temporary islands.

- Beach restoration: fixing dunes and preventing beach erosion due to tidal flushing.

- Mangrove/Salt Marsh Ecological Restoration: Provide a stable substrate for vegetation to grow and re-establish the coastal ecosystem.

- Harbor and wharf reinforcement: to resist the impact of ship's wake and maintain the safety of harbor operations.

Construction Process

1. Substrate treatment: clean the seabed of debris and lay anti-puncture matting to enhance the bearing capacity of the foundation.

2. Pipe bag laying: according to the design positioning, lay geotechnical Geotube underwater or in intertidal zone and fix anchor piles.

3. Filling material: pump sand or dredging sediment into the pipe bag and fill it in layers to the designed height (single layer filling height≤1m).

4. Dewatering and consolidation: Drain the water naturally for 3-5 days, if necessary, add environmentally friendly curing agent to accelerate consolidation.

5. Protection and reinforcement: cover the outer layer with gabions, concrete blocks or planting blankets to enhance the scour resistance.
