Application:

1. Unidirectional geogrid is used to reinforce weak foundations: geogrid can quickly improve the bearing capacity of the foundation, control the development of settlement, and effectively distribute the load on a wider sub base layer due to its lateral limiting effect on the road base layer, thereby reducing the thickness of the base layer, lowering engineering costs, shortening the construction period, and extending the service life.

2. Unidirectional geogrid is used for reinforced asphalt or cement pavement: geogrid is laid at the bottom of the asphalt or cement pavement layer, which can reduce the depth of ruts, extend the fatigue life of the pavement, and also reduce the thickness of asphalt or cement pavement to save costs.

3. Unidirectional geogrid is used to reinforce river and sea embankments: it can be made into a gabion and used in combination with the grid to prevent the dam from collapsing due to seawater erosion. The gabion has permeability, which can slow down the impact of waves, extend the life of the dam, save manpower and material resources, and shorten the construction period.

4. Unidirectional geogrid is used to treat landfill sites: geogrids combined with other geosynthetic materials can effectively solve problems such as uneven settlement of the foundation and emissions of derived gases, and maximize the storage capacity of landfill sites.

Construction methods
When used for reinforced soil retaining walls, the construction method is as follows:
1. Set up the foundation and construct according to the designed wall system. When using precast reinforced concrete panels, they are generally supported on the precast concrete foundation with a thickness of 12-15cm. Its width shall not exceed 30 cm, thickness shall not be less than 20 cm, and burial depth shall not be less than 60 cm to prevent the influence of foundation frost heave.

2. Smooth the wall foundation, excavate and level according to the design requirements. Soft soil needs to be compacted or replaced, and compacted to the required density, which should slightly exceed the range of the wall.

3. The reinforcement material should be laid with the main strength direction perpendicular to the wall and fixed with pins.
